Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Pope Francis has given us a great gift in dedicating 2015 as the Year of Consecrated Life! In his Apostolic Exhortation, Evangelii Gaudium (Joy of the Gospel), Pope Francis wrote, “I want to say one word to you and this word is joy. Wherever consecrated people are, there is always joy!” It is my great hope that the Sisters of the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity (SOLT) manifest this joy to all of God’s people.
We have received a great gift in our vocation to religious life within SOLT and are committed to fully living our charism to be disciples of Jesus through Mary, to live in Marian-Trinitarian communion, and to serve on ecclesial family teams in areas of deepest apostolic need. Through the profession of the evangelical counsels of obedience, poverty and chastity, we bind ourselves to live a life in oneness with Christ and to witness to the eschatological reality of His Church. It is a tremendous privilege and joy to belong entirely to the Most Holy Trinity.
As we move towards the Year of Consecrated Life, I humbly ask for your prayers that our community of Sisters remains faithful to our charism and to living the evangelical counsels. Please join us in praying in thanksgiving for the gift of our vocations!
May the joy of the Gospel fill your heart and impel you to make disciples of all nations!
May God bless and keep you,
Sr. Megan Mary, SOLT
